Why take the fire risk assessment course course

Fire outbreak is mostly considered as the single biggest threat to any facility or business. It leads to a wanton destruction of lives and properties worth billions of naira. Cities like Lagos (mainland and Island combined), Port Harcourt, Abuja, Kano and the likes have had harrowing experiences of loss of lives and property as a result of fire outbreak.

A completed Fire Risk assessment will not only expose the potential risks and hazards in a given facility (e.g a hotel or office premises) but will also profer fire safety precautions that will prevent an outbreak. Further, fire risk assessment is compulsory for buildings that house a large number of people (e.g five and more people in the Uk).

The fire risk assessment training course will equip participants with relevant skills to successfully conduct and complete a fire risk assessment of complex premises under supervision of a competent person.

Training Schedule

2 DAYS

• Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm Daily (or 2 weekends)

• Date: We conduct fire risk assessment training every week from January to December (except public holidays).

• Training Schedule: Thursdays - Fridays (all training centers) | Saturdays (some training centers).

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course participants will be able to:

• carry out and continously review the fire risk assessment of a facility,

• understand the functions of fire protection and fire fighting equipment,

• identify the potential fire risks and hazards in a premises,

• select and site appropriate fire fighting equipment and fire safety signs and notices, and

• complete and keep an upto date record of fire risk assessment report of a complex facility as required by law.
